WASHINGTON, DC - The Apollo is a modern apartment building and office space in the heart of Washington, DC. The 487,046 sf building sits on the site of an historic theater by the same name and is the new focal point for the bustling H St neighborhood. It has 431 apartment units to accommodate over 900 tenants. The adjoining office building is managed by WeWork and offers shared workspaces. GreenShape served as the LEED consultant for the project, helping it achieve LEED-NC Gold in 2018.

Janelia Farms Apartments

Janelia Farms Apartments

Ashburn, VA - GreenShape provided sustainability management services for this 60 unit residential building located on the Howard Hughes Medical Institute campus. The building serves visiting researchers and doctors and is designed as a very dense development. It includes sensitively designed landscaping and site lighting that pays close attention to minimizing the disturbance of land and natural habitats of wildlife. The project achieved LEED for Homes Platinum certification in 2011.

Washington, DC - GreenShape provided sustainability consulting services to R2L:Architects for this 13-story, 220,000 SF mixed use tower developed on a brownfield site in an historic preservation district of Washington, DC. The residential and retail project features an extensive green roof and utilizes at least 20% locally harvested or manufactured materials. The project achieved LEED NC Silver certification in 2015.

WASHINGTON, DC - This new residential development consists of 144 units near the Takoma metro station. Key sustainable features includes harvesting rain water for landscape irrigation, native and adapted plantings, a green roof, and bike sharing for residents. Additionally, new residents were given green cleaning "welcome packages" with information about the project upon arrival. The project was completed in the fall of 2008 and was awarded LEED Silver in 2009.
