This 12-story building houses office and retail spaces and features a high-efficiency building envelope, advanced energy recovery devices, waste water reuse systems, indoor air quality controls, and an expansive green roof. | Lafayette TowerWASHINGTON, DC - GreenShape served as the sustainability consultant for development of Lafayette Tower, a new 224,866 SF office building in Washington, DC. The project exceeded its initial sustainability goal and achieved LEED Core and Shell Platinum certification in 2009, making it the District of Columbia's first LEED Platinum commercial office building. | 300 New Jersey Ave., NWWASHINGTON, DC - GreenShape served as the green building consultant responsible for managing the LEED certification process throughout design and construction of this new 312,000 square foot Class “A” office building. The project, designed to be 44.5 percent more efficient than a standard office building, incorporated a reflective and green roof, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and native and adapted plantings, helping the project earn its LEED Core and Shell Gold Certification in 2010. |

The project earned its LEED Commercial Interiors Platinum Certification in 2017. | National Association of Realtors HQWASHINGTON, DC -The National Association of Realtors’ Washington, DC Headquarters is an award-winning 92,469 SF architectural landmark. Located a block from the US Capitol, this unique office building sits on a narrow, former brownfield site. When mid-way through design the owner elected to pursue LEED certification, GreenShape was able to help the project team integrate cutting-edge technologies such as daylight sensors, rainwater catchment for landscape irrigation and low-emitting materials. | United Way Mary Gates CenterALEXANDRIA, VA - GreenShape provided sustainable design guidance and LEED certification management for the Mary M. Gates Learning Center at the United Way Worldwide Headquarters. The project involved a 35,000 square foot renovation of the existing training center into a state of the art facility, complete with a large assembly space, smaller training rooms, and webinar spaces. The project achieved LEED NC Gold Certification in 2011. |
